Terms of Agreement & Disclaimer

1. Official Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO PARTICIPATE OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

Sponsor. The Order of the Hunt scavenger hunt, the "Hunt" is sponsored by The Ground Table Cafe, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company, info@groundtablecafe.com, "Sponsor," "we," "us".
Eligibility. The Hunt is open to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older. Participants aged 13–17 may take part only with the written consent of a parent or legal guardian, who must complete the acknowledgment in Section 5. Employees, owners, and immediate family members of Sponsor are not eligible for prizes.
Hunt period. Each Hunt begins and ends on the dates and times announced by Sponsor on its official channels. Sponsor's clock is the official timekeeper.
How to participate. Register at www.groundtablecafe.com/pages/hunters to agree to these Official Rules. Clues are released only through Sponsor's official channels. Only clues and locations published by Sponsor are part of the Hunt.
How to win. Prizes go to eligible participants who locate a clue or item and complete any verification step Sponsor announces, such as a photo, a code, or presenting the item in person. Winning depends on skill and effort, not chance.
Agreement. By participating, you agree to these Official Rules and to Sponsor's decisions, which are final on all matters relating to the Hunt.

2. Participant Code of Conduct

Breaking any of these rules results in immediate disqualification and forfeiture of prizes and member perks. Sponsor may report unlawful conduct to authorities.

Safety first. Do not endanger yourself or anyone else. No clue ever requires climbing, digging, entering water, crossing active roadways outside crosswalks, or entering a restricted, hazardous, or closed area. If reaching a spot seems unsafe, it is not a Hunt location. Stop and contact Sponsor.
No trespassing. Stay on public property and areas open to the public during posted hours. Never enter private property, fenced or posted land, closed buildings, or any area without permission. Obey all posted signs and instructions from property owners, staff, and officials.
No menacing, harassment, or intimidation. Do not threaten, follow, crowd, confront, or pressure any person, including other participants, the public, and business staff. Do not take clues or items from another participant.
Respect property. Do not damage, move, dig up, deface, or tamper with any property, landscaping, fixture, or Hunt item. Leave every location as you found it.
Obey all laws. Follow all federal, state, and local laws, including traffic, parking, park-hour, curfew, and alcohol laws. Never read clues or use a phone while driving.
Respect businesses. If a clue involves a partner business, be a customer, not a disruption. Don't block entrances, interrupt service, or search areas not open to the public.
Mind the conditions. Dress for the weather. Do not hunt in severe weather, after dark in unlit areas, or while impaired.
Fair play. No tampering with, hiding, or relocating clues. No false claims, fake accounts, or duplicate entries. Minors must hunt with a parent, guardian, or approved adult present.
Report problems. Report any unsafe condition, missing clue, or incident to Sponsor at info@groundtablecafe.com. In an emergency, call 911 first.

3. Assumption of Risk, Release, and Indemnification

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. THIS SECTION AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS.

Voluntary participation. Participation is voluntary. You choose when, where, how, and whether to search, and you control your own travel, route, pace, and conduct.
Assumption of risk. You understand that the Hunt involves walking, driving, and moving through public spaces, and involves risks including slips, trips, falls, traffic, weather, animals, uneven terrain, actions of third parties, loss or theft of personal property, and bodily injury. YOU KNOWINGLY AND VOLUNTARILY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, KNOWN AND UNKNOWN.
Release. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YOU RELEASE, WAIVE, AND DISCHARGE THE GROUND TABLE CAFE, LLC, AND ITS MEMBERS, MANAGERS, EMPLOYEES, VOLUNTEERS, AGENTS, AND PARTNER BUSINESSES ("RELEASED PARTIES") FROM ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, LIABILITY, AND DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE HUNT, INCLUDING CLAIMS ARISING FROM THE ORDINARY NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASED PARTIES. This release does not apply to gross negligence or intentional misconduct, or where prohibited by law.
Indemnification. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claim, loss, or expense, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your conduct, your breach of these rules, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
Medical. You confirm you are physically able to participate. You authorize Sponsor to seek emergency medical care for you if needed, at your expense.
Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Released Parties' total liability, if any, is limited to the retail value of the prize at issue.
Severability. If any part of this section is found unenforceable, the remainder stays in full effect.

4. Prizes, Disqualification, and General Terms

Prizes. Prizes are as described in each Hunt announcement.. Prizes are non-transferable, have no cash value, and may not be substituted, except that Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Sealed products are awarded as-is; Sponsor makes no guarantee about the contents or value of any randomized product. Winners are responsible for any taxes.
Member perks. Order of the Hunt perks are promotional, may change or end at Sponsor's discretion, and carry no cash value. Details of perks at the café apply once it opens and are subject to its posted policies.
Disqualification. Sponsor may disqualify any participant, void any claim, and revoke any prize or perk for breach of these rules, fraud, unsafe conduct, or conduct that damages the Hunt or Sponsor's reputation.
Changes and cancellation. Sponsor may modify, suspend, or cancel any Hunt, or relocate or remove any clue, at any time for safety, weather, property-owner requests, or any other reason.
Publicity. Except where prohibited, winners grant Sponsor the right to use their name, username, city, and photos or video taken during prize claims for promotional purposes, without further payment. Participants may opt out in writing at info@groundtablecafe.com. Sponsor will not publish a minor's full name or image without guardian consent.
Privacy. Information collected is used to run the Hunt and communicate with participants, as described in Sponsor's privacy policy at [URL]. Sponsor does not sell participant information.
Platform release. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta Platforms, Inc., Facebook, Instagram, or any other social platform. Participants release those platforms from all liability related to the Hunt.
Non-affiliation. Sponsor is an independent retailer. The Hunt is not sponsored or endorsed by Wizards of the Coast, Hasbro, The Pokémon Company International, or any game publisher. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Governing law. These rules are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. Any dispute must be brought in the state or federal courts located in New Castle County, Delaware.
Void where prohibited. The Hunt is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
